Sunny With a Chance of Gorgeous
This is my drive to work. One of the things I love about Portland is how green or, um, red/yellow/brown it is. Basically I love all the trees. I once had a friend from out of state visit and while on the freeway she said "It's like driving through a rainforest!" Whenever I leave town I notice how few other cities have trees in the city, lining the highways, and just generally everywhere.
The best part though, is how lovely they smell this time of year.

I'm incredibly jealous. And I like the new fall color scheme.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I used to live in Los Angeles, and when i came up to Seattle, I felt the exact same way. I remember driving up to my new home and thinking I was in a forest. And then, although I don't anymore, I always noticed the smell of lush pine trees around my neighborhood whenever I stepped outside, and I'd suddenly feel isolated, like I was still in California but camping deep in the mountains. It was eerie.
