What I'm Wearing Today

I bought this skirt from Free People a year or two ago on a whim and have been in love with it ever since. It's super comfy without looking frumpy which makes it perfect for summer. I'm also on a big kate spade new york kick lately and am all about this bag. The vest/top is recent Free People, the cardigan is Nordstrom BP and always available, and the sandals are from Gap a few years ago. I feel like it's a bit old lady to match my shoes to my purse but I was in a hurry this morning and had no time to try to find different shoes.

What I'm Wearing Today

I've gotten about 15 compliments on this outfit today. Including the ultimate from a very fashionable and very Andre Leon-esque gay man who told me "I just have to tell you you have the best style ever."

Which obviously made my day.

What I'm Wearing Today

I bought this sweater on sale this past Spring. It's by a company called robbi and nikki and they make beautiful clothing. A bit pricey but if you can find things marked down it's worth it. I love this cardigan for warm weather, which is really the only way to wear it since there's basically nothing to it.

What I'm Wearing Today

It finally looks like Summer here in Portland! Which probably sounds crazy to the rest of the country. We've had the lamest June ever. It's been rainy and cool and grey and annoying. I woke up this morning and there was sun! It felt so good.

And even though I wear dresses year round in all kinds of weather it's nice to be able to accessorize with a little vitamin D.

Tonight I'm doing a BBQ in the park. I'm super excited (another reason I'm thankful for the sun). I got a portable grill that looks pretty awesome so we'll see how it works out. On the menu are hot dogs (veggie for me), garlic pepper corn on the cob, watermelon, rosemary potato salad, grilled veggies, and plenty of adult beverages. Mmmm...
