Fa La La La La

I used to love Christmas music but now not so much. I guess the idea of listening to the same songs for a month every year just doesn't appeal to me. But, since I love Christmas I put in the effort and have found Christmas music that's a little less...obnoxious, than what you may be used to.

Bird and the Bee, I love you. So much. And this song makes me really way too happy.

Carol of the Bells by The Bird and the Bee

There's this series of albums called Maybe This Christmas but the best album by far is Maybe This Christmas Tree. These are some of the songs on it I like best.

Bittersweet Eve by Belasana

Fairytale of New York covered by Pilate

Christmas Time is Here by Ivy

If you do not own Songs for Christmas by Sufjan Stevens go buy it now.

Lo! How a Rose E'er Blooming covered by Sufjan Stevens

Other songs I like...

It's Christmas So We'll Stop by Frightened Rabbit

Up on the Housetop by The Jackson 5

White Christmas by Bright Eyes

By the way I realize all the videos in these videos are really dumb so just listen to the music and um, close your eyes or something.

  1. Had to comment here--so few people seem to know Bird and the Bee! "Carol of the Bells" is my husband and daughter's fave song to dance to. :)

I love their version of Rihanna's "Don't Stop the Music." If you don't own it, I'm totally sending it to you.

  2. Wombat, I don't own it! Please do send it to me! I would love to hear it. I'm embarrassed to admit this but I'm just now discovering The Bird and the Bee album that was released earlier this year, the one that's like all 80s songs, it's amazing.
